Steve Jobs changed the world. This book opens up his life and puts it in context in a way that only Isaacson can. There is a lot of swearing in this book so be warned of that before reading or listening to it. That's one reason I can't give this book 5 stars, even though its all in quotes and I understand that Isaacson has to be accurate, I can't recommend that everyone read this book for that reason.

Steve Jobs is one of my heroes, I was worried that this book would change that, and it certainly did temper my admiration in some respects. In some ways he becomes much more human, but in some ways he remains a mystery an incredible man who is shrouded by his strange circumstances and complicated ego. I read this book in the context of having already read Creativity Inc, Innovators, and Outliers and of course those books changed the way that I see this one.
