I assume writing a biography is a tough business. Walter who has previously written biographies of Einstein and Benjamin Franklin, has done a fair job with this work of his.

Not wrong to say, this book is well aligned with Jobs philosophy of excellence and his obsession with details. To understand such a person who puts so much focus on details, this book being the way it is, gets apt justice.

As far as judging a biographies is concerned, I consider myself very naive, still I can say that this book entails life journey of Jobs Right from dealing with all emotional hardships he had to face when he was young on getting to know that he was adopted, how he dealt(or not) with it, till the last when he was suffering from cancer and his health was deteriorating, story is very interesting.

Indeed, it was his formative years with his father when he used to escort his father at his work where he imbibed so many traits of work ethics which he demonstrated all his life.
It is also well illustrated with support of lot of research on his obsession with excellence in all his products he created at Apple and Pixar, both the companies he was leading became major successes.

Not only that, this book also gives many glimpses on what was going on in those times in silicon valley, what all innovations were happening and their impact on Steve and later how he impacted silicon valley. Both of his companies are still thriving after he is gone, which was also his goal to create long lasting companies which makes great products.

This is quite a biography and a bit more as it covers Job's personal and professional life, his artistic sense, peculiar eating habits, personal life turmoils along with the great traits, he showed, of a salesmanship, a business spokesperson, a leader, a family person he became.
There is much more.

Recommendation is definitely a read for everyone.
