really liked it

Impeccable portrait of an incredibly successful arsehole.

The book is a superbly written and well researched biography. I've never read a bio that doesn't leave you with questions, Isaacson's work however just seems to have all the bases covered. Though the fact that I care so little for the the subject (my condolences to his poor children) was perhaps a factor in this.

Jobs was shown to be (at best) an intolerable human being who happened to combine brilliance with just the right sociopathic tendency's to have his way with the world of computers without regard to those he destroyed along the way.

I cant help but think the impact this book would have had if Jobs was still alive. I've never bought an Apple product and after reading this I think of all the sales enriching the selfish Jobs in almost the same manner conflict diamonds gave profits to terrible men at the cost of so many left in their wake.

I'm sorry to Walter Isaacson, this book does deserve 5 stars, but I just can not bring myself to do it.

Billy That’s a cop out; I, too despise who Jobs was; but giving this excellent novel of who he was no stars is pathetic
