Steve Jobs

Isaacson's epic is a full-fledged biography of Jobs and his close relationship with Apple. It included all the volumes in Apple's history, starting with its creation, Jobs leaving after the confrontations with Scully, the founding of NeXT and Pixar, the return of Jobs, and the subsequent disruptions by the iPod, iPhone and iPad.
There is a specific part I think was not extensively covered, which was the Google vs. Apple chapter, after the release of the iPhone and the first Android phones. It's the main topic of another book called Dogfight which was an excellent complement to read alongside this book (that and Catmull's Creativity, Inc).
It's an excellent and fact-filled book that will make anyone aware of Jobs's vision, his purpose, his greatest qualities but also character flaws, and his constant pursuit of excellence.
A touching and superb read.
