it was amazing

Since I don't think I'll be able to finish this before years end I thought it would be a great way to transition into the new year. Much like Steve Jobs recent transition into the ether...I would like to dedicate my 2012 reading sprint to those that have changed the world and how they did it with technology. The plan for 2012 is to get to know the free thinkers and the mad men of history and the tools that changed the world. For the better or for the worse. With that, 2012s goal is 24 books - (auto)biographies, and tech.

So being a big geek at heart and an iDork, and compliments of an early Christmas present from my sweetheart. I am going to read Steve Jobs biography...yes the one I think every Apple junkie in the world is reading. Count me in. For the record, the real irony is that the iPad has been key to my ability to kick start my reading again.....but this is actually a hardback book. This is one for the bookshelves. Kinda hard to brag about your library on your iPad.

I could not stop reading this book. Simply fantastic.

My new word for 2012, was taught to Steve Jobs by Mike Markkula. "Impute" - to understand the people do judge a book by its cover - to make sure all the trappings signal that there is a beautiful gem inside.

Read this book if you don't read anything else this year.

"Here's to the Crazy Ones. The misfits. The rebels. The trouble-makers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules, and they have no respect for the status-quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify, or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world - are the ones who DO!"

Steve people may see you as crazy, but history will judge you a genius.
