Steve Jobs

I listened to this audiobook during a cross country drive (Philadelphia to Las Vegas). The behind-the-scenes anecdotes about the 1984 Macintosh, the later iMac, ipod and iTunes were fascinating.
Walter Isaacson captured the essence of what made Jobs so different and necessary during the 1980s and 1990s high tech boom. Jobs' early years exposed him to spiritual and artistic events that culminated in his weird, OCD and inflexible behaviors.
Jobs' preoccupation with perfect product design and aesthetics are what made Apple products so attractive. His immense time investment with record company executives to achieve a mutually beneficial mp3 digital music financial arrangement was legendary.
Excellent business case studies for students and seasoned professionals.
