Something draining about this book. On one hand inspiring, on the other depressing: Steve Jobs cuts down on the value of a lot of things, and props up the value of other things. Once you learn to devalue things, why not become a nihilist? The drive for perfectionism leading to nihilism, the undermining of what gives things value. You have to have a crazy guy, or more literally an irrational and arbitrary guy, tell you what your values are by mesmerizing you: Steve Jobs. And you'll love him for it. I suppose you should ask what kind of irrational you want, Jobs' type, or someone else's.
