really liked it

I couldn't put this book down, Isaacson has a way of really bringing history to life. For a non-tech person like myself, I learned quite a bit about the history of silicon valley, and the development of the pc, etc. So, I appreciate that. However, I probably join many when I say that I was disappointed in the character of the man behind Apple. We often hold ideals like success, innovation, brilliance, genius, rebelliousness, etc. and Steve Jobs is cast as the epitome of all of those in our minds, but this book left me with the impression that Steve Jobs had vision and success, but little else. The innovation and brilliance and engineering and hard work that went into making Apple products great were thanks to the team Jobs managed to surround himself with. They deserve more credit. Good book, highly recommended, and if nothing else, maybe it inspires us to strive to combine our desire for success with a bit of humanity and compassion for the teams and families that surround us.
