This is was an insightful take on Steve Jobs, his life, and his accomplishments. He really was an incredible and complex man, and I feel that Walter Isaacson really did a great job in trying to show the reader every facet of Jobs' personality. There were many times where I just found Jobs needlessly cruel and a brat. He threw temper tantrums, publicly humiliated his employees, fired and laid off countless people, was hypocritical, and seemed to cry every time things didn't go his way.
Despite all that, I couldn't help but see his ingeniousness as well. What he created in his lifetime is absolutely amazing. He created a company meant to endure the test of time, continuously rebuilt it after failures, and made great products for consumers to use. I'm not even an Apple person. In fact, I'm team Android and PC all the way, but even I have to admire the sleekness of Apple products and design. Steve Jobs has truly created a legacy.
I think this book is especially great for people who are interested in/looking into business and product development. Walter Isaacson has given us an insider's view on one of the best entrepreneurs in our generation.
