really liked it

Steve Jobs Biography is loooooooong but very interesting as well. I can’t say I wasn’t wishing for fewer renditions of Jobs’ tantrums and rants (I get it! He was a demanding tyrannical bully but a genius who got the most out of his A-player workers!). It was sometimes repetitive and jumped time even though the book as a whole was allegedly chronological (this is particularly true for the last third—I got the impression that they just wanted to make sure the book was on sale close to Jobs’ death so they didn’t bother to edit that section). All that said, I am glad I read it and I learned a ton about not just the technology industry, but the filmmaking and music industries. The interactions with his biggest competitor, Bill Gates, were particularly fascinating to me. Say what you will about him personally, Jobs definitely changed the face of technology as we know it, and as was his goal, he predicted what consumers wanted before they even knew themselves.
