Steve Jobs

In my opinion, this biography by “Walter Isaacson” was an excellent masterpiece of the complexities of being Steve Jobs and how he and a team of folks created Apple, Inc. The public often acknowledges him as been the only person that created the company, “Apple” but this non fictional account proves otherwise. Steve Jobs was innovative, a visionary and a superb sales/marketing individual. But at times, Steve could be irrational, a brute, a tyrant and mean to staff and his family. The two things that I will take from this book are that passion drives products and you need a team to assist in you to help you succeed.
Often companies come up with great products and it becomes about quarterly profits and executives making the money. But if that is all what the companies thinks about in the long run, they will go under.
And while Steve Jobs gets mostly all the credit for creating Apple, this book largely debunk that myth because he didn’t create Apple by himself. Steve didn’t create many products but because he craved the products that he wanted to create, he could turn that passion into finding people who could create them. And together they could make a lot of money.
The book also teaches that you have to find your own path. Not everybody wants to attend college and attend the top schools and work for a corporate company. Some want to create a company. Being creative takes courage and not everyone has the courage to create.
Overall, I enjoyed reading this book. I have an iPhone 5 and now I understand who and why was created.
