really liked it

Walter Isaacson has a great way of painting an informative and entertaining picture of a person. In his biography of Steve Jobs, he gives a detailed (albeit often long-winded) account of both his personal life from a somewhat objective point of view, while also exploring his motivations.

Jobs' drive, entrepreneur spirit to move mountains, and passion to create great products is truly inspiring, but often his means seem morally questionable. Most people already have an opinion about him, and like it says in the Apple commercial, the only thing you can't do is ignore him.

Surprisingly the most interesting part for me were the chapters about Pixar and Disney, since I never knew he was so heavily involved in so many of the movies that I enjoy so much (Toy Story is one of my favorite movies of all time), and I think he really helped Bob Iger start the new Disney renaissance which we are in now.

As for the book itself, I don't think the author could have done a better job in composing the book, so my rating is about the content and how I would recommend it to others. If you want to learn more about Steve Jobs or are in the startup/technology field, I would recommend this book, otherwise you might get bored by his narcissistic personality, unless you're curious about his story and are interested to see how Pixar and great Apple products came to be.
