I'm not a fan of biographies in general. I've never felt attracted to them. If you have the same approach, this book might be a game changer. As a guy who is keen on all of the things that are going on around the tech industry, obviously I knew who Steve jobs was. His achievements were impressive, but I never looked at him in other way than on an ordinary person, but...

Walter Isaacson has a great style and despite the fact that the book is quite bulky, you go through it like crazy. Jobs is presented in a very vivid and polarized way. On one hand you can see him in his pursuit of excellence and a total ****hole with emotional problems on the other. The birth of the companies he created is fantastically woven into the storyline in great proportions.

The book is very enjoyable to read, even if somehow you don't know who the guy was. I highly recommend it - simply a great book.
