MENINGOCOCCAL INFECTIONS (Total) – Reported cases per 100,000 population by state, United States, 1980 Attack rates of reported cases of meningococcal infection, by state, demonstrate a continuum of rates from 0.0 to 3.75 cases per 100,000 population. The apparent higher rates for a few select states may be due to reporting artifacts or to differences in actual incidence rates of disease.
