RESOLUTION ADOPTED AT SESSION OF SOUTHERN COMMERCIAL CONVENTION, HELD AT LOUISVILLE, KY., OCTOBER 12TH, 1869. Resolved, That the regular Standing Committees of the Louisville Convention, be requested to report for the respectful consideration of the next Commercial Convention upon the subject for which said Committees were respectively raised, and that the Chairman of said regular Committees be ipso facto members of said next Convention.

Mr. Cook from the Committee of Arrangements also stated that interesting letters, some of which referred to the subjects before the Convention, had been received from the following named gentlemen:

Which were ordered given to the press for publication.

On motion, a committee of one from each State, on permanent organization, on rules and order of business, and on credentials was ordered,-the Chairman of each State delegation to name a gentleman for each of the Committees, as the roll of States is called by the Secretary.

A recess of fifteen minutes was then taken, after which the Convention was called to order by Mr. BISHOP, the Chairman, and the Secretary called the States with the following result:

AFTERNOON SESSION.

The Convention met at three o'clock, P. M. Mr. R. M. BISHOP in the chair.

The CHAIRMAN: Gentlemen, the first business in order will be the reports of Committees, commencing with the report of the Committee on Credentials.

Gen. N. P. BANKS, Chairman of the Committee on Credentials, then made the following report:

CINCINNATI, October 4th, 1870.

The Committee to which was referred the credentials of delegates to the Convention, with instructions to examine and report upon the same, have attended to the duty assigned to the Committee, and respectfully report, that delegates properly accredited are present from twenty-five States, viz: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Maryland, Missouri, Michigan; Massachusetts, New York, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and Wisconsin, and also from (75) seventy five of the principal cities, representing the commercial interests of the United States. That the number of delegates now present is (350) three hundred and fifty, all of whom are properly accredited and entitled to seats as members of the Convention, for the States and cities they are appointed to represent-a list of delegates is herewith appended:
