PSC is directed at development of permanent entry level positions in county government, modification of Merit System rules which are inhibiting, and the elimination of job barriers. Because of decline of economic activities and county revenues, only about 100 community workers will be employed by the end of the contract period. Results No anticipated changes affecting This is a synthesis of several noted methods. PSC is willing to share this methodology with other manpower agencies. The County PSC Program is currently the only agency in the County actively conducting task analysis and reviewing Merit System procedures for eliminations that may bias employment of community people. The PSC staff suggests that local jurisdictions assume similar responsibilities and develop in-agency linkages to share common experiences. |
