§ 1110.3 Harvesting apples and pears in Hood River County (a) Areas, crops, and classes of workers. Persons engaged in picking and other harvesting of all varieties of apples and pears in the County of Hood River, State of Oregon, are agricultural labor as defined in § 4001.1 (1) of Title 32.

(b) Wage rates-Maximum wage rates for picking and other harvesting of all varieties of apples and pears. (1) Wage rate for picking Bartlett pears:

(1) 10¢ per apple box or Libby Lug, for single picking;

(ii) 111⁄2¢ per A. G. A. Lug, for single picking;

(111) 2¢ more per box may be added to the above rates for size picking;

(2) Wage rates for picking all pears other than Bartlett pears:

(1) 12¢ per apple box or Libby lug, for single picking;

(ii) 131⁄2¢ per A. G. A. lug, for single pickIng:

(3) Wage rates for picking all apples except Newton apples:

(i) 11¢ per apple box or Libby lug;
(ii) 121⁄2 per A. G. A. lug;

(4) Wage rates for picking Newton apples:

(1) 12¢ per apple box or Libby lug;
(ii) 131⁄2¢ per A. G. A. lug;

(5) Wage rates for other harvest labor:

(1) For general orchard work, except truck driving-85¢ per hour;

(ii) For foremen-$1 per hour.

§ 1110.4 Potatoes in Crook and Deschutes Counties-(a) Areas, crops, and classes of workers. Persons engaged in picking and other harvesting of all varieties of potatoes in the Counties of Crook and Deschutes, State of Oregon, are agricultural labor as defined in § 4001.1 (1) of Title 32.

(b) Wage rates; maximum wage rates for harvesting all varieties of potatoes. (1) Wage rate for picking potatoes-6¢ per half sack of 60 pounds.

(2) Wage rate for all other work in potato harvest-$1 per hour. This classification does not include truck and wagon drivers engaged in hauling potatoes from the field to a destination off the farm. The wages of such drivers are, however, subject to the Stabilization Act of 1942, as amended by the Stabilization Extension Act of 1944.

1. Hourly rate for thinning apples-80¢ per hour.

2. Hourly rate for spraying apples-80¢ per hour.

3. Hourly rate for picking summer apples85¢ per hour.

(c) Administration. The Washington WFA Wage Board located at 235 Liberty Building, Yakima, Washington, will have charge of the administration of this section in accordance with the provisions of Part 1107 of this part.

§ 1111.5 Picking hops in Pierce County-(a) Areas, crops, and classes of workers. Persons engaged in picking hops in the County of Pierce, State of Washington, are agricultural labor as defined in § 4001.1 (1) of Title 32.

(b) Wage rates; maximum wage rates for picking hops.

Piece rate-41⁄2¢ per pound, plus 1¢ per pound bonus if the worker continues picking hops throughout the season.

(c) Administration. The Washington WFA Wage Board located at 235 Liberty Bldg., Yakima, Washington, will have charge of the administration of this section in accordance with the provisions of Part 1107 of this chapter.

Persons engaged in picking Evergreen blackberries in Pierce County, except the islands and peninsula areas, State of Washington, are agricultural labor as defined in § 4001.1 (1) of Title 32.

(b) Wage rates; maximum wage rates for picking Evergreen blackberries.

Piece rates-95¢ per 30 lb. crate, plus a bonus of 20¢ per crate if the worker continues to pick Evergreen blackberries throughout the season.

(c) Administration. The Washington WFA Wage Board located at 235 Liberty Bldg., Yakima, Washington, will have charge of the administration of this section in accordance with the provisions of Part 1107 of this chapter.

Cotton in designated counties.

§ 1112.1 Cotton in designated counties-(a) Areas, crops, and classes of workers. Persons engaged in picking, pulling, bolling, snapping and scrapping American Egyptian (SXP) and American Upland cotton in the Counties of Pima, Greenlee, Santa Cruz, Pinal, Graham, and Maricopa, State of Arizona, are agricultural labor as defined in § 4001.1 (1) of Title 32.

(b) Wage rates; maximum wage rates for picking, pulling, bolling, snapping and scrapping American Egyptian (SXP) and American Upland cotton.

(1) Wage rate for picking American Egyptian (SXP) cotton-$4 per 100 lbs. of well picked, clean, seed cotton.

(2) Wage rate for picking American Upland cotton:

(1) $2.25 per 100 lbs. of well picked, clean, seed cotton in Pima, Santa Cruz, Pinal and Maricopa Counties;

(ii) $2 per 100 lbs. of well picked, clean, seed cotton in Greenlee and Graham Counties.

(3) Wage rate for pulling, bolling, snapping and scrapping American Egyptian (SXP) and American Upland cotton-$1.35 per 100 lbs. of seed cotton.

(c) Administration. The Arizona WFA Wage Board located at Capital Annex, Phoenix, Arizona, will have charge of the administration of this section in accordance with the provisions of Part 1107 of this chapter.
