About the author (1993)

Daniel Chudnovsky held a D. Phil. in Economics from Oxford University. He taught Development Economics at the University of San André s and was Director of the Centro de Investigaciones para la Transformació n (CENIT) in Argentina. André s Ló pez is Doctor in Economic Sciences at the University of Buenos Aires. He is Principal Researcher at the Centro de Investigaciones para la Transformació n (CENIT), Buenos Aires, Argentina and teaches Development Economics at the University of Buenos Aires. Both Chudnovsky and Ló pez have written extensively on economic development, foreign direct investment, technological innovation, economic and financial crises, environmental management, and regional integration.
