HAWAII 32. Oahu: The Navy's Distant Early Warning Forces located at the Naval A.I Station, Barbers Point, will be phased out by July 1966.

ILLINOIS 33. Great Lakes: The naval public works functions of the various paral cus

mands and activities located at or adjacent to the U.S. Naval Trairie Center will be consolidated under one command, the Public Works (entet. which will provide all public works type logistic support for the adida commands and activities in the Great Lakes Naval Complex. This cin

solidation will be completed by July 1966. 34. Moline: The Navy and Marine Corps Reserve Training Center will be in

activated and consolidated with the Naval Reserve Trainiug Center is Davenport, Iowa, by June 1966.

INDIANA 35. Bunker Hill: The 325th Fighter Interceptor Squadron located at Truar

Air Force Base will be inactivated by July 1966 at Truax rather than

moving to Bunker Hill Air Force Base as previously announced. *36. Columbus: The 930th

and 931st Troop Carrier Groups (C-119) located a: Bakalar Air Force Base will be inactivated by October 1967 and the bass

closed and reported to the General Services Administration for dissal. 37. Michigan City: The Naval Reserve Training Center will be inactivated a: 1

consolidated with the Naval and Marine Corps Reserve Training Center

at Gary, Ind., by June 1967. 38. Muncie: The Naval Reserve Training Center will be inactivated and con

solidated with the Naval Reserve Training Center at Anderson, Iud., by June 1967.

IOWA 39, Council Bluffs : The NIKE-HERCULES site located at Council Bluffs will be

phased out and inactivated by March 1966. These facilities will be der clared excess.

LOUISIANA 40. Bogalusa : The Naval Reserve Training Facility will be inactivated by

June 1966. Leased facilities will be returned to the owner. 41. Bossier: The NIKE-HERCULES site at Bossier will be phased out and the

site inactivated by June 1966. These facilities will be declared exopus 42. Crowley: The Naval Reserve Training Facility will be inactivated by June

1966. Leased facilities will be returned to the owner. 43. Houma: The Naval Reserve Training Facility will be inactirated by Jude

1967 and the facilities declared excess. 44. Shreveport: The NIKE-HERCULES at Shreveport will be phased out and

the site inactivated by June 1966. These facilities will be delared excess.

MAINE 45. Caribou: The NIKE-HERCULES site at Caribou will be phased out and the

site inactivated by March 1966. These facilities will be declared erros 46. Casco Bay: The Long Island Fuel Annex to Naval Air Station, Brunswick.

MARYLAND 48. Cumberland: The 434 Rifle Company of the Marine Corps Reserve Bowegimet

at the Naval and Marine Corps Reserve Training Center will be inates rated by October 1966. The Naval Reserve Training Center will tea. active.

49. Patuxent River: The Navy's Barrier Forces located at the Naval Air

Test Center, Patuxent River, will be phased out by July 1966. The
Government-owned Brandywine-Cedar Point Railroad serving NATC
Patuxent River will also be declared excess at the same time.

MASSACHUSETTS

*50. Boston: The Boston Army Base will be closed and reported to the General

Services Administration for disposal between January 1967 and the end

of 1969. Reserve functions will be relocated to Boston Naval Shipyard. 51. Falmouth: The 75th Fighter-Interceptor Squadron, located at Dow Air

Force Base, will be inactivated by July 1968 at Dow and will not be

transferred to Otis Air Force Base as previously announced. 52. Lowell: The Naval Reserve Training Center will be inactivated and con

solidated with the Naval and Marine Corps Reserve Training Center at

Lawrence, Mass., by June 1967. The facilities will be declared excess. 53. New Bedford : The Detachment of the 1st 155-millimeter Howitzer Battery

now located at the Naval and Marine Corps Reserve Training Center will relocate to the Marine Corps Reserve Training Center at Providence, R.I., by October 1966. The Naval Reserve Training Center at New Bedford will remain.

MICHIGAN

54. Battle Creek: The Naval Reserve Training Center will be inactivated

and consolidated with the Naval and Marine Corps Reserve Training Center, Kalamazoo, in a new center to be constructed by June 1970. The

facilities in Battle Creek will be declared in excess. 55. Bay City: The Naval Reserve Training Center will be inactivated and con

solidated with the Naval Reserve Training facility at Saginaw by June

1967. The leased facilities will be returned to the owner. 56. Detroit: The Naval and Marine Corps Reserve Training Center will be

inactivated and consolidated with the Naval and Marine Corps Reserve Training Center at Dearborn and the Naval Reserve Training Center at Pontiac by June 1968. New facilities will be available at Dearborn and

Pontiac. Leased facilities in Detroit will be returned to the owner. *57. Kinross: The 438th Fighter-Interceptor Squadron at Kincheloe AFB will

be relocated to Wurtsmith AFB by July 1969 to replace the F-101 squadron which inactivates. The 449th Bombardment Wing and supporting units will inactivate by October 1970 and the base will be closed and

declared excess. The separate BOMARC site will be retained. 58. Mount Clemens : The 927th Air Reserve Troop Carrier Group (C-119) at

Selfridge Air Force Base will be inactivated by October 1967 and the 71st F-106 Air Defense Command Squadron will be relocated to Richards-Gebauer Air Force Base by April 1967. The 127th TAC Reconnaissance Wing, ANG, will relocate from Metropolitan Wayne County Airport to Selfridge AFB by July 1968.

MINNESOTA

59. St. Paul: The Naval Reserve Training Center located at St. Paul will be

inactivated and consolidated with the Naval and Marine Corps Reserve Training Center in Minneapaolis where a new center will be constructed by June 1968. Leased facilities in St. Paul will be returned to the owner.

MISSISSIPPI 60. Greenville : The Naval Reserve Training Facility will be inactivated by

June 1966 and the facilities declared excess. 61. Greenwood: The Naval Reserve Training Facility will be inactivated by

June 1966 and the facilities declared excess. 62. Laurel : The Naval Reserve Training Center will be redesignated a Naval

Reserve training facility by July 1966. The facilities will be declared 64. Meridian: The 100th Rifle Company of the Marine Corps Reserve lovain

NEBRASKA 68. Lincoln: Two NIKE-HERCULES sites located at Lincoln will be phased

out and the sites inactivated by March 1966. These facilities will be

declared excess. 69. Plattsmouth: The NIKE-HERCULES site located at Plattsmouth will be

phased out and the site inactivated by March 1966. These facilisie will be declared excess.

NEW HAMPSHIRE *70. Portsmouth: The naval hospital located at Seavey's Island will be phased

out and declared excess by June 1973. Prior to the closure, a small se placement hospital will be established at Pease Air Force Base te accommodate Air Force personnel and Navy personnel remaining in

the area. *71. Portsmouth : The Naval Disciplinary Command at Portsmouth will be

closed and the facilities declared excess by January 1909. Vary pri oners will be confined at the Army Disciplinary Barracks, Fort Lauren worth, Kan.

NEW JERSEY 72. Wrightstown: The New York Sector Air Defense Direction Center lorate

at McGuire Air Force Base will be inactivated by July 1995. The 3* Fighter-Interceptor Squadron at McGuire will be relocated by July 199 to Griffiss Air Force Base to replace the F-101 squadron which is being inactivated.

NEW MEXICO *73. Roswell: The 6th Strategic Air Command Bomb Wing located at Walker

Air Force Base will be inactivated by July 1967 and the base will be closed and declared excess.

NEW YORK 74. Binghamton: The 48th Rifle Company of the Marine ('orps Reserve at

Binghamton will be inactivated by October 1966. The Naral Reserve

Training Center will remain active. 75. New York: The Office of Naval Research branch office, New York, will be

consolidated with the Office of Naval Research branch office, Boston. by July 1966. An annex of the Boston office will remain in the New

York City area. 76. Westhampton Beach: The 38th Fighter-Interceptor Squadron located at

Suffolk County Air Force Base will be inactivated by July 1965 77. White Plains : The 105th Air Transport Group (C-97), Air National Guant

located at Westchester County Airport will be inactivated by October 1966.. The military flying facility will be closed.

NORTI CAROLINA 78. Charlotte : The Charlotte Army Missile Plant at Charlotte will be cined

and the facilities declared excess by July 1967. 79. Durham : The 41st Rifle Company of the Marine Corps Reserve will be in

activated and consolidated with the 4th 155-mm, Howitzer Battery at Raleigh, N.C., by October 1966. The Naval Reserve Training Center in Durhain will remain active.

80. Winston-Salem: The 4th Communications Company of the Marine Corps

Reserve located at Winston-Salem will be inactivated and consolidated with the 5th Communications Company at Greensboro by October 1966. The Naval Reserve Training Center at Winston-Salem will remain active.

OHIO

81. Dayton : The 17th Bomb Wing and the 24th Bomber Squadron at Wright

Patterson AFB will be inactivated by October 1970 with Wright-Patterson remaining as the Headquarters of the Air Force Logistics Command and with the Air Force Systems Command Research and Development

functions remaining. 82. Hamilton: The Naval Reserve Training Center will be inactivated and

consolidated with the Naval and Marine Corps Reserve Training Center

in Cincinnati by June 1966. The facilities will be declared excess. 83. Lockbourne: The 87th Fighter-Interceptor Squadron located at Lock

bourne Air Force Base will be inactivated by July 1968. 84. Warren: The Naval Reserve Training Center will be inactivated and con

solidated with the Naval and Marine Corps Reserve Training Center in

Youngstown, Ohio, by June 1966. The facilities will be declared excess. 85. Wilmington: The C-119 Air Reserve 906th Troop Carrier Group located

at Clinton County Air Force Base will be inactivated by October 1967. *86. Youngstown: The C-119 Air Reserve 910th Troop Carrier Group located

at Youngstown Municipal Airport will be inactivated by October 1967 and the Air Force installation closed.

OKLAHOMA

*87. Burns Flat: The 70th Bomb Wing of the Strategic Air Command located at

Clinton-Sherman Air Force Base will be inactivated by July 1970 and the base will be closed and declared excess.

OREGON

88. Portland: The 460th Fighter-Interceptor Squadron at Portland Interna

tional Airport will be inactivated by April 1966 and the facilities transferred to the Continental Air Command.

PENNSYLVANIA

89. Altoona : The 32d Rifle Company of the Marine Corps Reserve will be in

activated by August 1966. The Naval Reserve Training Center will re

main active. 90. Bethlehem: The Naval Reserve Training Center will be inactivated and con

solidated with the Naval Reserve Training Center at Allentown, Pa., by June 1970. A new reserve training center will be constructed between

Allentown and Bethlehem. 91. Coraopolis : The C-121 Air National Guard Air Transport Group located at

the Greater Pittsburgh Airport will be inactivated by October 1966. 92. Kingston (Wilkes-Barre): The Naval Reserve Training Center will be

inactivated and consolidated with the Naval Reserve Training Center at

Scranton, Pa., by June 1967. The facilities will be declared excess. 93. Philadelphia : The Tacony Warehouse located at Frankford Arsenal will

be closed and disposed of by July 1967. 94. York: The Naval Reserve Training Center will be inactivated and con

solidated with the Navy and Marine Corps Reserve Training Center in Harrisburg and the Naval Reserve Training Center, Lancaster, Pa., by June 1966. The facilities will be declared excess.

RHODE ISLAND

95. Davisville: The Navy Barrier Forces located at the Construction Battalion

Center, Davisville, will be phased out by July 1966. 96. Newport: The 1st 155-mm. Howitzer Battery of the Marine Corps Reserve

will be relocated to and consolidated with the 3d and 9th 105-mm.

Air Force Base and the Tactical Air Command C-130 Combat Crew training mission will be relocated to other Air Force bases. Sewart Air Fone Base will be closed and declared excess by July 1970.

TEXAS 104. Abilene: Two NIKE Hercules sites at Abilene will be phased out and the
