A BROTHERHOOD OF HUMANITY This corporation is formed upon the basis of a Universal Brotherhood of Humanity and shall be conducted solely for philanthropic, eleemosynary, scientific and educational purposes. It is a democratic, unsectarian and non-profit corporation which does not allow pecuniary gain or profit to the membership. The purposes for which this corporation is formed and the powers to be possessed by this corporation are: 1. To promote humanitarian principles based on mutual interdependence and the Brotherhood of Man without distinction of race, color, religion or social position: to initiate, encourage, and carry out practical application of said purpose, in all fields of endeavor. 2. To promote the education of mankind through the study of ancient and modern religions, philosophies and sciences, and to demonstrate the importance of such studies. 3. To promote education along lines likely to lead to self study, to investigation of the laws of nature and the constitution of man; to balanced unfoldment of individual capacities, and to the development of self-reliant men and women who are free intellectually, free morally, trained in logical and accurate thought, fearless and unprejudiced in all respects, and above all, devoted to the interests of others. The New Century Foundation is maintained by voluntary contributions and is therefore entirely dependent upon the generosity of its members and others. There are no entrance fees or dues. No salaries are paid; all work is done by volunteers. Allowances are made to those whose private circumstances require it. Contributions To The Foundation Are Deductible In Income Tax Returns.
