The recent movements in the Evangelical Churches abroad, give it particular significance and importance. It is in some respects an anticipation of that very devout imagination, butmost shallow humbug-the christian union,-which is attracting so much attention every where. As soon as space and time may permit, we design to expose the utter fallacy of those principles on which that project is founded, and shall then examine with our utmost care the tendencies and import of the present work.
