A BILL To increase the authorized maximum expenditure for the fiscal years 1960 and 1961 under the special milk program for children
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the first sentence of the Act entitled "An Act to continue the special milk program for children in the interest of improved nutrition by fostering the consumption of fluid milk in the schools", approved July 1,1958, as amended (7 U.S.C., sec. 1446 note), is amended to read as follows: "That for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1959, not to exceed $85,000,000, and for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1960, not to exceed $90,000,000, of the funds of the Commodity Credit Corporation shall be used to increase the consumption of fluid milk by children (1) in nonprofit schools of high school grade and under; and (2) in nonprofit nursery schools, child-care centers, settlement houses, summer camps, and similar nonprofit institutions devoted to the care and training of children."
