Title IX, Elementary and Secondary Education Act, Ethnic
Heritage Program

The Ethnic Heritage Program, is administered under the auspices of Title IX, Elementary and Secondary Education Act, as amended. Its purpose is to provide assistance designed to afford students opportunities to learn about the nature of their own cultural heritage and to study the contributions of the cultural heritages of the other ethnic groups of the Nation.

Any proposal funded under this program should center around developing curriculum materials at all educational levels, or should disseminate such curriculum materials to permit their use at all educational levels, or should provide training for persons using or preparing to use ethnic heritage curriculum materials.
