An Act to revive and continue for Two Years, and from thence until the End of the then next Seffion of Parliament, Two Acts made in the Forty feventh and Fiftieth Years of His prefent Majefty, for the preventing improper Perfons from having Arms in Ireland. [29th April 1817.]

HEREAS an Act was made in the Forty seventh Year of the Reign of His prefent Majesty, intituled An A& to prevent improper Perfons from having Arms in Ireland, to continue in force from the paffing thereof for Two Years, and from thence until the End of the then next Seffion of Parliament: And Whereas by an Act made in the Fiftieth Year of His prefent Majefty's Reign the faid recited Act was continued for Two Years, and from thence until the End of the then next Seffion of Parliament, and amended: And Whereas by an Act made in

the Fifty third Year of His prefent Majesty's Reign both the faid • recited Acts were further continued for Two Years, and from thence until the End of the then next Seffion of Parliament; and it is expedient that the said recited Acts of the Forty seventh and Fiftieth Years of His present Majesty's Reign fhould be revived and • further continued;' Be it therefore enacted by The King's Most Excellent Majefty, by and with the Advice and Confent of thẹ Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this prefent Parliament affembled, and by the Authority of the fame, That the faid revived and recited Act of the Forty feventh Year of His prefent Majefty's further conReign, as the faid A&t is amended by the faid recited Act made in the Fiftieth Year of His prefent Majesty's Reign, and also the said recited Act of the said Fiftieth Year, fhall be and the said Two Acts are hereby revived and further continued, and fhall be, remain and continue in force for Two Years, from and after the paffing of this Act, and from thence until the End of the then next Seffion of Parliament.

An Act to amend Two Acts of the Fifty fourth and Fifty
fifth Years of His Majefty's Reign, to provide for the better.
Execution of the Laws in Ireland, by appointing Superin-
tending Magistrates and additional Conftables in Counties in
certain cafes.
[29th April 1817.]

WHEREAS

HEREAS an A&t was paffed in the Fifty fourth Year of 54 G.3.c.131.
His Majesty's Reign to provide for the better Execution

of the Laws in Ireland, by appointing Superintending Magiftrates

' and additional Conftables in Counties in certain cafes; which Act was amended by an Act paffed for that Purpose in the Fifty fifth Year of His Majefty's Reign: And Whereas, by and under the • Provifions of the faid first recited Act, Power is given to the Lord • Lieutenant or other Chief Governor or Governors of Ireland, for the Aid and Support of any Chief Magiftrate, duly appointed as ⚫ therein mentioned, refpectively to appoint a Chief Conftable, and any Number of Sub Conftables not exceeding Fifty; and by the 55 G. 3. c. 15. • Provifions of the faid laft recited A&t, in cafe the Office of fuch • Chief Magiftrate shall extend into Two Counties, a fimilar Power is given to place a fimilar Establishment, if necessary, under his • Orders, in each of fuch Counties: And Whereas it may be fufficient in certain cafes to appoint One Chief Magistrate only for < more Baronies than One, or for a more extended District in the fame County, provided that fuch Chief Magiftrate shall have the • Aid and Support of an increased Number of Chief and Sub Con• ftables;' Be it therefore enacted by The King's Moft Excellent Majefty, by and with the Advice and Confent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this prefent Parliament affembled, and by the Authority of the fame, That it fhall and may be lawful to and for the Lord Lieutenant, or other Chief Governor or Governors of Ireland for the time being, to appoint, for the Aid and Support of any fuch Chief Magiftrate, fuch and fo many Chief and Sub Constables as fuch Lord Lieutenant or other Chief Governor or Governors fhall think proper: Provided always, that there fhall not in any case be more than One fuch Chief Conftable, nor more

II. And be it further enacted, That all and every the Clauses and Provifions in the faid Acts refpectively contained fhall apply to all and every the Chief Conftable and Chief Conftables, Sub Constable and Sub Constables fo to be appointed, in the fame manner in all respects as if they had been appointed under the faid Acts refpectively. • III. And Whereas, under the Provisions of the faid recited Acts, all and every the Salaries, Allowances, Cofts, Charges and Expences therein mentioned respectively are directed to be borne and defrayed by Presentment in manner therein provided respectively ; and it may happen that the whole of fuch Expence may in certain cafes be found too burthenfome upon the County, Barony, Half Barony or other District or Part of a County by which the said • Salaries, Allowances, Cofts, Charges and Expences are by the faid Acts required to be borne and defrayed by Presentment as aforefaid;' Be it therefore enacted, That it fhall and may be lawful to and for the Lord Lieutenant or other Chief Governor or Governors of Ireland for the time being, by the Advice of the Privy Council in Ireland, to order and direct that any Part or Portion not exceeding Two Thirds of all and every Salaries, Allowances, Rents, Taxes, Cofts, Charges and Expences, which shall at any time after the paffing of this Act be incurred or become payable under the Provifions of the faid recited Acts or either of them, or of this Act, fhall abfolutely and finally be payable and paid by and out of the Confolidated Fund, and that the Refidue only fhall be borne and defrayed by Prefentment, in manner in the faid A&ts provided respectively.

IV. And be it further enacted, That the Chief Secretary of the Lord Lieutenant, or other Chief Governor or Governors of Ireland for the time being, shall from time to time caufe Accounts to be prepared of all Proclamations iffued under or by virtue of the said recited Acts, specifying the Counties, Baronies and Districts by fuch Proclamations refpectively declared to be in a State of Difturbance; and alfo of the Names of all Chief Magiftrates and other Officers appointed for the Execution of the faid recited Acts in fuch Counties, Baronies and Districts respectively; and alfo of the Amount of all Salaries, Allowances, Rents, Taxes, Cofts, Charges and Expences incurred in confequence of any fuch Proclamations; and that fuch Chief Secretary fhall caufe fuch Accounts to be from time to time laid before both Houfes of Parliament within One Calendar Month next after the Commencement of each Seffion of Parliament.

the Seventh Year of King George the Second, for the free

HEREAS an Act was made in the Reign of His late Majefty King George the Second, 'intituled An Act for the Revival of an Act made in the Thirteenth

Year of the Reign of His late Majesty King George the First, • intituled An Act for the free Importation of Cochineal during the Time therein limited, and alfo for the free Importation of Indigo, which was to continue in force, from the Twenty fourth Day of June One thoufand feven hundred and thirty four, for the Term of Seven Years, and from thence to the End of the then next • Seffion of Parliament; and which by feveral fubfequent Acts was further continued from the Expiration thereof until the Twenty fifth Day of March One thousand eight hundred and fourteen: And Whereas by an Act paffed in the Fifty fourth Year of His prefent Majefty the faid Act was revived from the faid Twenty fifth Day of March One thousand eight hundred and fourteen, and continued in force until Nine Months after the Conclufion of the then prefent War: And Whereas by an Act paffed in the laft 56 G. 3. c. 2. Seffion of Parliament the faid Act was again revived and further

Act for the further Improvement of the Land Revenue of the

WHEREAS an $3G.

HEREAS by an Act paffed in the Fifty third Year of the 53 G. 3. c. 121.
Reign of His prefent Majefty, intituled An Act for making

a more convenient Communication from Mary le Bone Park and the
• Northern Parts of the Metropolis, in the Parish of Saint Mary le
Bone, to Charing Crofs within the Liberty of Westminster, and
for making a more convenient Sewage for the fame, it was enacted,
that the Commiffioners for the time being of His Majefty's Woods,
• Forefts and Land Revenues fhould be and they were thereby ap-
pointed Commiffioners for carrying the Purpofes of the faid A&
into Execution, and they were thereby empowered to borrow and
take up at Intereft from time to time fuch Sum or Sums of
Money to enable them to carry the feveral Purposes of the faid
• Act into Execution, as they fhould judge neceffary, not exceed-
ing the Two feveral Sums of Five hundred thoufand Pounds, and
