any additional Salary, Fee or Emolument whatever, for executing the Duties of the faid Warden, or any other than fuch as the faid Master and Worker and his Deputy is and are entitled unto by virtue of their faid Offices of Master and Worker, or Deputy Master and Worker respectively.

II. And Whereas it is expedient, that, after the Termination of the exifting Interest in the Office of Comptroller of the Mint in England, the Duties thereof should be executed in Person and not by Deputy;' Be it therefore enacted, That from and after the Termination of the prefent exifting Intereft, in the said Office of Comptroller of His Majefty's Mint in England, and when the faid Office shall become vacant by the Termination of fuch exifting Intereft, the Duties of the faid Office fhall be performed in Perfon by the Officer to be appointed to fuch Office of Comptroller; and it shall not be lawful for any fuch Comptroller to appoint any Deputy or other Perfon to execute the Duties of the faid Office; and that from and after the paffing of this A&t the faid Office of Comptroller shall not be granted to any Perfon or Perfons whomfoever, with Power to execute the fame by Deputy; any Law, Ufage or Custom to the contrary in anywife notwithstanding.

And Whereas it was enacted by the faid recited Act of the Fourteenth Year of His prefent Majefty's Reign, that Duplicates or Copies of the Standard Weights of the Gold and Silver Coin of the Realm fhould be lodged in the Cuftody of an Officer to be appointed by His Majefty, with a Salary not exceeding the yearly Sum of Two hundred and fifty Pounds, to be paid out of the Monies arifing by the Coinage Duties, and that all Weights to be made use of for weighing the faid Gold and Silver Coin fhould

be ftamped by the faid Officer: And Whereas by an A&t made 15 G. 3. 6. 30. in the Fifteenth Year of His prefent Majefty's Reign, intituled • An Act for allowing the Officer appointed to mark or flamp the • Weights to be made use of in weighing the Gold and Silver Coin of this Kingdom, in pursuance of an Act made in the laft Seffion of Par•liament, to take certain Fees in the Execution of his Office, it was • enacted that it fhould be lawful for fuch Officer to afk, demand and receive any Sum of Money not exceeding One Penny for every Twelve Weights fo ftamped: And Whereas it is expedient, that upon the Termination of the prefent exifting Intereft in the faid Office, the faid Salary of Two hundred and Fifty Pounds a Year fhould be abolished;' Be it therefore enacted, That from and after and upon the Termination of the present existing Intereft in the faid Office, no Salary whatever fhall be granted or paid or payable to the said Officer under or by virtue of the faid recited Act of the Fourteenth Year of His prefent Majefty's Reign, nor any Salary, Fee or Emolument whatsoever, other than and except fuch Fees and Sums of Money as the faid Officer is authorized to afk, demand, and receive under and by virtue of the said recited Act of the Fifteenth Year of His prefent Majefty's Reign; any thing in the faid recited A&t of the Fourteenth Year aforefaid of the Reign of His present Majefty to the contrary notwithstanding.

V. And be it further enacted, That upon the Termination of the whole of the existing Interests of fuch of the faid Officers as are entitled to Apartments in the faid Buildings, or upon their relinquifhing their Rights thereto, it shall be lawful for the Lord High Treafurer of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, or the Commiffioners of His Majefty's Treafury of the faid United Kingdom, or any Three or more of them, and they are hereby authorized and required, as foon as conveniently may be after fuch Termination or Relinquishment, to order and direct the Buildings appropriated to the Mint in Scotland to be fold, and the Proceeds, after deducting the Charges attending the Sale or Sales, to be paid to the Receiver General in Scotland; and the fame when fo paid fhall be accounted for by him in the fame manner with any Public Monies received by him.

An Act to amend the Laws relating to Sheriffs in Ireland.

HEREAS it is expedient that the Laws relating to Sheriffs in Ireland fhould be amended, as well for the Relief of fuch Sheriffs as to enforce a more regular Discharge of their Duty ;' Be it therefore enacted by The King's Moft Excellent Majefty, by and with the Advice and Confent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the Authority of the fame, That from and after the Commencement of this Act it shall and may be lawful to and for every Sheriff in Ireland to account and make like Return for, upon and in refpect of any Writ or Procefs iffued against the Perfon's Lands and Goods, or any again any other of them, of any former Sheriff, as if fuch Writ or Procefs had iffued against any other Perfon whatsoever; any Law, Ufage, Conftruction or Intendment to the contrary in anywife notwithstanding.

III. And be it further enacted, That in all cafes in which by Law any Action or Actions might be maintained against any Sheriff for any Neglect or Misconduct in Office, it shall and may be lawful for the Perfon or Perfons to whom such Action or Actions shall accrue, to bring fuch Action or Actions against the Under Sheriff, in lieu and in stead of the High Sheriff, if such Perfon or Perfons fhall think proper fo to do, unless it fhall appear that the Cause of Action arofe Provifo. from fome immediate Act or Default of the High Sheriff alone, and not at all from any Act or Default of the Under Sheriff.

IV. And be it further enacted, That it fhall and may be lawful to and for any Sheriff, or any Perfon who fhall have been Sheriff in Ireland, to pay or caufe to be paid into His Majefty's Exchequer of Ireland, at any time before fuch Sheriff fhall by Law be bound or required so to do, any Sum or Sums of Money which he fhall think proper, on account of any Revenue which it fhall belong to him or be his Duty to collect, receive or account for; and fuch Sheriff in fuch cafe fhall be entitled to have and obtain an Acquittance from the proper Officer for fuch Sum or Sums so paid, and fhall be entitled to Credit for the fame, and for Intereft by way of Difcount, out of the Sum fo paid, at the Rate of Six Pounds per Centum per Annum from the time of fuch Payment until the time when, by or under any Act of Parliament, or by the Course of the Court of Exchequer, fuch Sheriff ought to pay in the same.

V. And be it further enacted, That from and after the time when any Attachment shall be fealed in the Court of Exchequer in Ireland, against any Sheriff or Perfon who shall have been Sheriff, for not accounting, fuch Sheriff shall be chargeable and charged with and fhall pay legal Intereft on all and every Sum and Sums of Public Money with which he fhall be chargeable, so long as fuch Sum or Sums fhall remain unpaid; and that from and after the time when any Attachment fhall be actually fealed in the Court of Exchequer in Ireland, against any Sheriff or Perfon who shall have been Sheriff, for the Non Payment of any Sum of Public Money, fuch Sheriff fhall be chargeable and charged with and fhall pay double the ordinary legal Intereft on fuch Sum until the Payment of such Sum; and the Payment of all fuch Interest and double Intereft fhall be enforced in the fame manner as the Payment of the Principal Sum in respect whereof fuch Intereft or double Intereft fhall be payable as aforefaid.

present Majesty, for the Improvement and Extension of the
Fisheries on the Coafts of Ireland.

HEREAS an Act was made in the Parliament of Ireland in the Thirty fixth Year of the Reign of His prefent Majefty, • intituled An Act for continuing and amending the feveral As for the further Improvement and Extenfion of the Fisheries on the Coafts of this Kingdom; which faid recited A&t has by several subsequent Acts been continued, and is in force until and upon the Twenty ninth Day of September One thousand eight hundred and feventeen, • and it is expedient that the faid recited A&t fhould be further • continued ;' Be it therefore enacted by The King's Moft Excellent Majesty, by and with the Advice and Confent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this prefent Parliament affembled, and by the Authority of the fame, That the faid recited Act shall be and the fame is hereby further continued and shall be in force in Ireland from the faid Twenty ninth Day of September One thousand eight hundred and seventeen, until and upon the Twenty ninth Day of September One thoufand eight hundred and eighteen.

II. And be it declared and enacted, That all Bounties and Allowances payable under any Act or Acts in force in Ireland upon the Exportation of any Fish caught on the Coasts of Ireland, or in refpect of the Duty on the Salt ufed in the curing of Fish caught on the faid Coafts, fhall be payable and paid and allowable and allowed in respect of all such Fith which, having been caught on the faid Coafts, shall be falted and cured either at Sea or in Warehouses on Shore, under the Inspection of the Officers of the Cuftoms there, under fuch Rules and Regulations as are required by any Act or Acts in force in Ireland, or as may be made from time to time by the Commiffioners of Customs and Port Duties in Ireland, for the Prevention of Fraud in the claiming of fuch Bounties and Drawbacks.

An Act to relieve Persons impugning the Doctrine of the Holy Trinity from certain Penalties, in Ireland. [7th July 1817.] 19 G. 3. C.44. W HEREAS an Act was paffed in the Nineteenth Year of the Reign of His prefent Majefty, by the Parliament of Great • Britain, intituled An Act for the further Relief of Proteftant Diffenting Minifters and Schoolmasters, and the Provifions of the faid A&t • have not been enacted or made Law in Ireland: And Whereas • it has been and may be reasonably doubted, whether the Provisions • of an A& paffed in the Fifty third Year of the Reign of His prefent Majefty by the Parliament of the United Kingdom, intituled • An Act to relieve Perfons who impugn the Doctrine of the Holy Trinity from certain Penalties, do extend to or were intended to • affect Ireland; and it is meet and proper that equal Freedom of Religious Worship should be fecured by Law to every Part of the United Kingdom:' May it therefore please Your Majefty that it

Year of His prefent Majefty's Reign, intituled An Ad for A& repealing the feveral Laws relating to Prifons in Ireland, and for • reenacting fuch of the Provifions thereof as have been found useful, • with Amendments, should be amended in manner hereinafter pro'vided for ;' Be it therefore enacted by The King's Moft Excellent Majesty, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present Parliament affembled, and by the Authority of the fame, That from and after the paffing of this Act it fhall and may be lawful for the Grand Jury of any County, County of a City, or County of a Town in Ireland, to rent or purchase any Lands or Hereditaments, or any Rights, Easements or Advantages in, through or over any Lands or Hereditaments which may be required for the conftructing, building, repairing, cleanfing, emptying and keeping in Repair of any Sewer or Sewers, or Drain or Drains, belonging to any Gaol or Prison, or which shall by fuch Grand Jury be deemed neceffary for the keeping any fuch Gaol or Prifon free from Filth or Nuisance of any Kind, although fuch Lands or Hereditaments fhall not be included in the Site of fuch Gaol or Prison, and to direct that all Lands or Hereditaments and may direct a fo rented or purchased, and all Rights, Eafements and Advantages Conveyance therein, shall be conveyed to fuch Commiffioners as fuch Grand thereof to ComJury fhall have appointed or fhall appoint according to the Directions miffioners in of the faid recited Act, and to their Heirs, Executors, Adminiftra- mentioned. tors and Affigns, in truft and for the Ufes and Purposes aforefaid, as fully and effectually to all Intents and Purposes as fuch Grand Jury might do with refpect to any Lands or Hereditaments neceffary for the Site of any Gaol or Prison, and with all fuch Powers and under fuch Regulations as are mentioned and expreffed in the faid
