Chafes, Parks and Warrens North and South of Trent refpectively, Termination of fhall, upon the refpective Terminations of the prefent exifting Inte- exifting Interests, refts therein, be wholly abolished; and from and after fuch Aboli- and the Duties tion all the Duties of fuch Offices respectively shall be performed to be performed by the First Commiffioner for the time being of His Majefty's by the First Woods, Forefts and Land Revenues; and for that Purpofe all His Majefty's the respective Powers and Authorities belonging or appertaining Woods, Forefts to the faid Offices of Wardens, Chief Juftices and Juftices in Eyre and Land Reveof His Majefty's Forefts, Chases, Parks and Warrens North and nues; South of Trent refpectively, fhall, immediately upon the ceafing of fuch Offices refpectively, become and be and remain vested in such First Commiffioner for the time being, without any special or other Appointment for that Purpose or in that Behalf; and every fuch Firft Commiffioner for the time being fhall and he is hereby authorized, empowered and required to perform all fuch Duties, and for that purpose to use and exercise all fuch Powers and Authorities, and enforce the fame by all fuch and the like Ways, Means, Suits and Proceedings, and do and perform all fuch Acts, matters and things, as may be neceffary in that Behalf, as fully and effectually to all Intents and Purposes as if the faid First Commiffioner had been duly and legally appointed to the faid Offices refpectively, and was, in virtue of a legal Appointment, Warden, Chief Juftice and Juftice in Eyre of His Majefty's Forefts, Chafes, Parks and Warrens North and South of Trent refpectively; provided that fuch First Commiffioner fhall not be entitled to, or have, take or receive any Salary, Fee or Emolument whatever in respect thereof.

II. And be it further enacted, That the Salaries of the faid Officers fhall, upon the Termination thereof respectively, make Part of the Confolidated Fund of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland; and a Sum equal to the Amount of each of fuch Salaries fhall, upon fuch Termination of each of fuch Offices respectively, be retained in the Exchequer as Part of the Confolidated Fund, and not iffued or carried to the Account of the Civil Lift; any thing contained in any Act or Acts of Parliament to the contrary notwithstanding.

An Act to abolish certain Offices, and to regulate certain other Offices, in Ireland. [7th July 1817.] HEREAS the Offices in Ireland herein after mentioned respectively are Offices fome of which it is expedient to abolish, and with refpect to others it is expedient to make Pro'vifion for a more effectual and economical Execution of the Duties thereof refpectively after the Termination of the prefent exifting • Interests therein refpectively;' May it therefore please Your Majefty that it may be enacted; and be it enacted by The King's Moft Excellent Majefty, by and with the Advice and Confent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this prefent Parliament assembled, and by the Authority of the fame, That from Certain Offices and after and upon the refpective Terminations of the refpective in Ireland, on present existing Interefts in each and every of the following Offices; Termination of that exifting Interests, abolished,

that is to fay, Surveyor General of Crown Lands; Keeper of Records in the Bermingham Tower at Dublin; Keeper of the Records of Parliament; Clerk of the Paper Office; and as each of the faid Offices fhall refpectively become vacant, upon the Termination of such prefent exifting Interefts, each and every of the faid Offices fhall be abolished; and the faid Offices fhall not, nor fhall any of them, from and after the paffing of this Act, be grantted to any Perfon or Perfons whomfoever; and the faid Offices are hereby, from and after the refpective times when the fame fhall refpectively become vacant, wholly abolished.

II. And be it further enacted, That all Records, Maps, 'Books and Papers whatsoever, now in the Cuftody, Power or Poffeffion red to the Pub. of the faid before mentioned Officers, or any of them, or of any of their Clerks or Deputies, fhall upon the respective Terminations of the prefent exifting Interefts in each and every of the faid Offices refpectively, be removed, transferred and delivered to the Office or Offices, Place or Places appointed or to be appointed for the preferving and fecuring of the Records of Ireland; and shall from thenceforth be there fafely kept and preferved according to the Directions of the Lord Lieutenant or other Chief Governor or Governors of Ireland for the time being; and it fhall and may be lawful for the Lord Lieutenant or other Chief Governor or Governors of Ireland for the time being, at any time either before or after the Termination of the present exifting Interests in any of the faid Offices hereby abolifhed, to order and direct that all fuch Records, Books, Maps and Papers fhall be removed, transferred and delivered into the faid Record Office or Offices, and the same shall then be forthwith removed, transferred and delivered accordingly; and it fhall and may be lawful for the Lord Lieutenant or other Chief Governor or Governors of Ireland for the time being, from time to time to give fuch Orders and Directions for the fafe Cuftody, Preservation and Arrangement of the faid Records, and of all or any other Records relating to Ireland, as to fuch Lord Lieutenant or other Chief Governor or Governors of Ireland shall at any time feem fitting and expedient.

III. And be it further enacted, That from and after and upon on Termination the refpective Terminations of the respective existing Interests in each and every of the following Offices; that is to fay, Accountant to the Board of General Officers; Secretary to the faid Board; Corrector and Supervifor of His Majefty's Printing Prefs; Compiler of the Dublin Gazette; Mafter of the Revels; Senefchal of His Majefty's Manors; Accountant General (now held by Stephen Moore Efquire); Supervifor of Accounts in the Barrack Department; Barrack Master of the Royal Barracks; and as each of the said Offices fhall respectively become vacant upon the Termination of fuch prefent exifting Interests, each and every of the faid Offices fhall be respectively abolished; and the faid Offices fhall not, nor shall any of them, from and after the paffing of this Act, be granted to any Person or Persons whomsoever; and the said Offices are hereby, from and after the refpective times when the fame fhall refpectively become vacant, wholly abolished.

IV. And be it further enacted, That from and after and upon the respective Terminations of the respective exifting Interests in each and every of the following Offices; that is to fay, Constable of the

V. VIII. And be it further enacted, That from and after and upon the respective Terminations of the refpective prefent exifting Interefts in each and every of the Offices of Commiffioners of the Board of Works in Ireland, and as each of the faid Offices fhall respectively become vacant upon the Termination of the prefent exifting Interefts, each and every of the faid Offices fhall refpectively be abolished, and the faid Offices fhall not, nor fhall any of them, from and after the paffing of this Act, be granted to any Perfon or Perfons whomfoever; and the faid Offices are hereby, from and after the respective times when the fame fhall refpectively become vacant, wholly abolished; and after the Offices of the faid Commiffioners shall become vacant, it shall and may be lawful for the Lord Lieutenant or other Chief Governor or Governors of Ireland for the time being, in Concurrence with the Lord High Treasurer or the Commiffioners of His Majefty's Treafury for the time being, to make fuch Arrangement, by the Appointment of One or more Officer or Officers, as fhall provide for the efficient Execution in Person of all Duties connected with the Superintendence of the public Buildings now under the Charge of the said Board of Works, at such reasonable Rate of Salary or Salaries as fhall be fufficient for the Purpose ; and an Account of every fuch Appointment and Rate of Salary shall be laid before Parliament in like manner as by this Act is required with refpect to the Regulation of other Offices under this A&t.

IX. And be it further enacted, That all Sums of Money arifing from Salaries, Fees or Emoluments, which shall by reafon of the Regulation of any fuch Office be more than fufficient to defray the Salaries and incidental Charges of the new Establishment of any such Office, fhall be paid (by the Orders and Directions of the Lord High Treasurer or Commiffioners of His Majefty's Treasury, which Orders and Directions the faid Lord High Treafurer or Commiffioners of His Majefty's Treasury, or any Three or more of them, are hereby authorized and required to make and give for that Purpofe) into the Receipt of the Exchequer in Ireland, and fhall be carried to and make Part of the Confolidated Fund of the United Kingdom; any thing in any Act or Acts of Parliament to the contrary notwithstanding: Provided always, that any fuch Salary or Allowance as fhall be payable to any or either of the said Offices out of the Civil Lift of Ireland, fhall be carried to and make Part of the faid Confolidated Fund during the Life of His prefent Majefty only, and no longer, unless Provision shall hereafter be made by Parliament for that Purpose.

X. And be it further enacted, That every Office and Appointment belonging to and making Part of the Establishment of any of the said Offices respectively, when fo regulated as aforefaid, shall be deemed and taken to be a new Office within the true Intent and Meaning of an A& paffed in the Forty first Year of the Reign of

His present Majefty, intituled An Ad for declaring what Perfons House of

the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland; and alfo for car-
rying into effect Part of the Fourth Article of the Union of Great
Britain and Ireland, by providing in what cafes Perfons holding
Offices or Places of Profit under the Crown of Ireland fhall be inca-
pable of being Members of the House of Commons of the Parliament of
the faid United Kingdom; and every Perfon holding any fuch Office
shall be incapable of fitting or voting as a Member of the Houfe of
Commons; and every fuch Officer who fhall fit or vote in the House
of Commons fhall be liable and subject to the Penalties and Forfeit-
ures contained in the faid recited Act with respect to such Person or
Perfons as fhall be difabled or incapacitated by the holding or ac-
cepting of any Office, Employment or Place of Profit in the faid A&
enumerated and particularized.

XI.
