This letter and the attachments contain the last of the information requested for inclusion of the record of the June 11, 1984 hearing on Price Anderson issues. We were requested to submit a list of the Pools' member companies showing their percentage participation in the nuclear liability insurance program for 1984.

The lists are enclosed. Since nuclear liability insurance provided by MAELU is 100% reinsured by Mutual Atomic Energy Reinsurance Pool (MAERP), a list of MAERP's membership and percentage of participation is enclosed.

List #1

Foreign Reinsurers

There are 17 foreign nuclear pools that reinsure a portion of the Pools' nuclear liability program. Approximately 550 foreign insurance companies are members of the foreign pools.

In addition, 52 foreign insurance companies reinsure a portion
of the nuclear liability program in their individual capacity
(not as members of a pool), and there are many individual
syndicates of Lloyds which provide reinsurance for the Pools'
nuclear liability program. (Lloyds does not participate in
the Contingent Liability Insurance.)

Participation for a Fixed Sum; Termination on Notice

All participation by domestic and foreign insurers in the
Pools is for a fixed dollar amount which must not be exceeded.
Every domestic and foreign insurer can terminate or reduce
its participation after giving appropriate notice prior to
the beginning of a new calendar year.
