[Press release of Feb. 16, 1972] COMMITTEE ON WAYS AND MEANS INVITES WRITTEN COMMENTS ON ADMINISTRATION PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE ADMINISTRATION PROPOSED "NATIONAL HEALTH INSURANCE PARTNERSHIP ACT" Chairman Wilbur D. Mills (D., Ark.), Committee on Ways and Means, U.S. House of Representatives, stated that the Administration had submitted, by letter dated February 10, 1972, proposed amendments on the subject of regulation of health insurance carriers, selfinsured employers and providers, to be added to the Administration's proposed "National Health Insurance Partnership Act." It will be recalled that from October 19 through November 19, 1971, the Committee on Ways and Means conducted public hearings on the subject of national health insurance. One of the proposals which was the subject of that hearing was the Administration bill entitled "National Health Insurance Partnership Act.” Any individual or organization having an interest in the proposed additions to the Administration bill should submit a written statement to the Committee on Ways and Means setting forth any views, comments or recommendations which such individual or organization may care to make on such proposed additions by not later than Friday, March 10, 1972. Any written statement submitted will be assembled and subsequently printed as an addendum to the public hearings which were conducted last fall. Such written statements should be submitted to John M. Martin, Jr., Chief Counsel, Committee on Ways and Means, Room 1102 Longworth House Office Building, Washington, D.C. 20515, in triplicate. As indicated, these statements will be printed as soon after March 10 as possible.
