Inventory of information on individuals in the records of Federal agencies-Continued

28. Investigative reports and correspondence from general public.

1 This column would include individuals filing in their own behalf, members of partnerships, cor-
porations, and unincorporated associations.

2 Applications received since 1934 total 236,811; it is not possible to estimate numbers of individuals
or categories of applications in this number.

3 Based on average rate of accession computed from 1934 to 1966.

4 Includes individual broadcast licensees; partners of partnership licensees; stockholders; officers
and directors of corporate licensees; members of unincorporated licensees.
Not possible to estimate numbers of individuals. See footnote 4 supra.

Approximate number filed annually by sole owners is 150. These are among those reports filed
annually by approximately 4,000 radio stations and 700 TV stations which may include stockholders,
partnerships, corporations, etc.

7 May also include investigation of individual station employees such as disk jockeys, as well as
record promotion men, etc.

8 It is not possible to estimate numbers of individuals since complaints and compliance files con-
taining correspondence with licensees and complainants are maintained for each broadcast station
(about 6,000). The licensees may include individuals, partnerships, corporations, or unincorporated
associations.
