Mr. JOHNSTON, from the Committee on Energy and Natural
Resources, submitted the following

REPORT

[To accompany H.R. 2947]

The Committee on Energy and Natural Resources, to which was referred the Act (H.R. 2947) to amend the Commemorative Works Act, and for other purposes, having considered the same, reports favorably thereon with amendments and recommends that the Act, as amended, do pass.

The amendments are as follows:

1. On page 6, line 1, after "Administrator" insert "(as appropriate)".

2. On page 6, strike lines 4 through 13 in their entirety and insert in lieu thereof the following: "Secretary or Administrator determines the fundraising efforts with respect to the commemorative work have misrepresented an affiliation with the commemorative work or the United States."

3. On page 6, lines 15 and 16, strike "operations prepared" and inset in lieu thereof, "operations, including financial statements audited".

4. On page 6, strike lines 19 through 25 in their entirety.

5. On page 7, line 6 strike “(1) Section" and insert the lieu thereof, "Section".

6. On page 7, lines 12 through 16, strike paragraph (2) in its entirety.

PURPOSE OF THE MEASURE

The purpose of H.R. 2947, as ordered reported, is to extend the legislative authority under the Commemorative Works Act for the Black Revolutionary War Patriots Memorial, the Women in Mili
