B. Counseling and guidance training institutes conducted by colleges and universities located in Northern and Western States 1. Public institutions: (a) State controlled.-A total of 36 institutes was conducted by State colleges and universities. These institutes received a total of $5,962,936, or 71.9 percent of the total Federal funds for institutes in Northern and Western States. (b) City and municipal.-A total of four institutes was conducted by city and municipal colleges and universities. These institutes received a total of $145,199, or 1.8 percent of the total Federal funds for institutes in Northern and Western States. 2. State-private institutions: There was one State-private institute conducted. This institute received $205,987, or 2.5 percent of total Federal funds to institutes in Northern and Western States. 3. Private institutions: A total of 11 institutes was conducted by private institutions. These institutes received a total of $1,559,733, or 18.8 percent of the total Federal funds for institutes in Northern and Western States. 4. Church-related institutions: A total of five institutes was conducted by church-related colleges and universities. These institutes received a total of $416,069, or 5 percent of the total Federal funds to institutes in Northern and Western States.
