Resolved, That there be paid out of the treasury of the Pay roll of house. state, to the several persons named in the foregoing pay roll, the sums set against their names respectively, amounting in the whole to the sum of thirty-one thousand nine hundred and ninety-nine dollars.

Temporary loan authorized.

Chapter 295.

Resolves authorizing a temporary loan.

Resolved, That to provide for the wants of the treasury, the treasurer of state be and he hereby is authorized to procure, on the faith of the state, if he shall deem it necessary, during the current year, a temporary loan of two hundred thousand dollars, or so much thereof as may be needed.

Resolved, That the treasurer is hereby authorized to give notes in behalf of the state, at a rate of interest not exceeding six per centum, and reimbursable at the pleasure of the state, after sixty days, and within twelve months from the date hereof, for such portions of the loan hereby authorized, as may be found necessary.
