Chapter 364.

An act to amend the charter of the Northern Waldo Agricultural Society.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in Legislature assembled, as follows:

SECT. 1. Section two of an act approved March fifteen, Waldo Ag. Socie- eighteen hundred and sixty-one, entitled "an act to incorporate the Northern Waldo Agricultural Society," is hereby amended, by striking out the first and second lines of said section, and inserting instead thereof, the words 'said society is hereby established in the towns of Unity, Burnham, Troy, Thorndike, Jackson, Knox and Freedom, and may hold its fairs in such one of said towns as two-thirds of its members, at a meeting called for that purpose, may determine,' so that said section, as amended, shall read as follows:

SECT. 2. Said society is hereby established in the towns of Unity, Burnham, Troy, Thorndike, Jackson, Knox and Freedom, and may hold its fairs in such one of said towns as two-thirds of its members, at a meeting called for that purpose, may determine, and may take and hold property, real and personal, to an amount, the annual income of which shall not exceed one thousand dollars, to be applied to the advancement of agricultural and mechanic arts.'

SECT. 2. This act shall take effect when approved.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in Legislature assembled, as follows:

Chapter 366.

An act to revive the organization of the Trustees of the Parsonage Fund at Bucksport.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in Legislature assembled, as follows:

SECT. 1. Henry Darling, Rufus Buck, T. C. Woodman Trustees of and Edward Swasey, are hereby confirmed as Trustees of Bucksport. the Parsonage Fund at Bucksport, the record of their election having been lost.

SECT. 2. Said trustees shall have power to fill the vacancy -powers. in the number of trustees caused by the decease of John N. Swasey, and they and their successors may supply all vacancies which may occur hereafter, and may have and exercise all the powers incident by law to such trustees.

Chapter 367.

An act to confirm the doings of School District number fifteen, in Berwick.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in Legislature assembled, as follows:

SECT. 1. The doings of the meetings of the qualified voters of school district numbered fifteen, formerly thirteen, in the town of Berwick, held May seven, eighteen hundred and seventy-four, and June six, eighteen hundred and seventyfour, are hereby confirmed.and made valid.

SECT. 2. The acts and doings of the municipal officers of the town of Berwick, in assessing and directing the collection of the tax, in pursuance of the votes passed at said meetings, are hereby confirmed and made valid.

SECT. 3. All usual legal liens and remedies for the collection of said tax, or any part thereof, now remaining unpaid, shall be enjoyed and continue in force for the term of six months from and after the approval of this act.

SECT. 4. This act shall take effect when approved.

North Anson and Skowhegan telegraph company authorized to extend line.

Chapter 368.

An act to extend the powers of the North Anson and Skowhegan Telegraph Company. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in Legislature assembled, as follows:

SECT. 1. The North Anson and Skowhegan Telegraph Company is hereby authorized to extend its lines of telegraph from its line in the town of Norridgewock, to the village of West Waterville, in the county of Kennebec, in the manner, and with the rights and powers conferred in the original act of incorporation, approved February twenty-two, eighteen hundred and sixty-seven.

SECT. 2. This act shall take effect when approved.

Chapter 369.

An act to incorporate the Harrington and Jonesport Telegraph Company.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in Legislature assembled, as follows:

SECT. 1. Joseph H. Hamlin, Albert M. Nash, V. L. Coffin, Holmes W. Ramsdell, Joseph A. Coffin, junior, Frank H. Dyer, A. J. Ray, Moses Nash, John H. Tabbut, O. P. Rumball, Ambrose Rumball, G. W. Rumball, S. W. Nash, F. S. Grace, C. J. Nash, H. E. Plummer, Joseph Nash, G. P. Smith, D. C. Nash, John B. Hall, Charles P. Chandler, Hamlin Nash, Daniel J. Sawyer, J. M. Johnson, W. F. Mansfield, F. A. Drisko and Charles Keene, their associates, successors and assigns, are hereby created a body politic, by the name of the Harrington and Jonesport Telegraph Company, with all the rights and privileges granted by the laws of this state to similar corporations, and subject to the limitations and obligations therein provided. Said company shall have the right to own, construct, maintain and operate a line of telegraph along any highway and bridge, from the village of Harrington, through the towns of Columbia and Addison, to any point in the town of Jonesport, and for this purpose may cut down trees, except shade trees, standing within the limits of the highway.

SECT. 2. Chapter 370,

An act granting further time to the Penobscot and Lake Megantic Railroad Company to locate aud complete its railroad.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in Legislature assembled, as follows:

That a further time of five years in addition to the time now fixed by law, is allowed to the Penobscot and Lake Megantic Railroad Company, within which to locate and construct its railroad, as authorized by its act of incorporation. Approved February 7, 1877.

Chapter 371.

An act to repeal an act entitled, "an act to incorporate the town of Barnard."

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in Legislature assembled, as follows:

SECT. 1. The act entitled, "an act to incorporate the Act to incorporate town of Barnard," approved February eight, eighteen hundred repealed. and forty-three, is hereby repealed; provided, however, that Proviso. this act shall not, as to said Barnard, revive an act entitled, "an act to incorporate the town of Williamsburg," approved

SECT. 2. The provisions of this act shall apply to any school district in said town so far as the same is applicable. Approved February 7, 1877.

Chapter 372.

An act to amend "an act to incorporate the Lincolnville Railroad Company," approved February eighteen, eighteen hundred and seventy-four.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in Legislature assembled, as follows:

That section three of "an act to incorporate the Lincolnville Railroad Company," approved February eighteen, eighteen hundred and seventy-four, be amended, by striking out the words "but not to the right to acquire real estate," so that said section shall read as follows:

SECT. 3. Said corporation may, from time to time, fix such rates of transportation for freight on their road, as they may deem expedient, and shall have all the powers and rights, and be subject to all the liabilities of similar corporations under the general laws of this state.'
