This morning, gentlemen, we commence consideration of the estimates of the Bureau of the Budget for the Department of Commerce. At this point we shall insert in the record pages 1, 2, 3, 4, and 4-A of the justifications, from which it appears that the amount appropriated in the fiscal year 1950, is $675,621,402; when the proposed supplemental due to the pay increase of $3,387,500 is added to this, the total for the current year is in the amount $679,008,902.
