PREFACE

IN many Sunday schools, entertainments are given from time to time for which readings and recitations are desired. Then in the observance of certain days like Children's Day or Rally Day it is the custom to have pupils to take part. It is to furnish such exercises as are suitable for occasions of this kind that this little volume has been prepared.
