Description: The program was established to eliminate employment discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin, in the private sector. This is sought through a compliance mechanism, involving an investigation, and if reasonable cause is found, attempted conciliation of complaints alleging discrimination. In addition, the program provides technical assistance to employers, unions, and employment agencies who seek voluntary compliance with Title VII.
