About the author (1995)

Mark S. Gold, M.D., F.C.P., F.A.P.A. is Professor of Neuroscience and Psychiatry at the University of Florida College of Medicine. He has received numerous awards and patents for his research, including the invention of new treatments and the use of laboratory tests in psychiatry. Dr. Gold has played a leading role in international, national, and local drug abuse prevention programs. Lois B. Morris was born and raised in the Chicago area. She is currently a member of the Cancer and Careers: Living and Working with Cancer community. She has written books on mental health and behavior. Her titles include Good News About Depression and Informed Decisions: The Complete Book of Cancer Diagnosis, Treatment and Recovery. She also writes articles for magazines and newspapers. She lives on Shelter Island, New York.
