1.5 1.42 Other Agencies, Institutions, Organizations 1.43 1.44 The State Board may enter into cooperative agreements with the following institutions for teacher-training and research purposes: University of Washington Washington State University Central Washington State College (See Legal Appendix.) Special Areas The State Board will enter into special arragements with areas Other States The State Board may enter into agreement(s) with another state or states to participate in vocational instruction, teacher training, research or other vocational and technical programs as deemed advisable. Agreements shall be prepared in writing, shall set forth all aspects of the arrangement (s) and shall conform to the laws and regulations of the participating states. Whenever the State enters into such a cooperative arrangement, a copy of such arrangement shall be submitted to the U. S. Office of Education to be filed with the State Plan. (h) To approve or disapprove applications and requests from local school districts and to establish priorities for use of funds and recommend allotments assuring development of vocational-technical programs and the equitable distribution of funds. (i) To provide for and participate in research and studies in vocational-technical education and to interpret findings. (j) To provide consultative services to school systems on instructional and organizational matters, methods and techniques of teaching, housing and equipment needs and related problems. |
