Map 1 and 2, page 30 and 31, Status of Area Vocational Schools in Ohio By 1960, and Table 5, Status of Area Schools of Ohio Fiscal Year 1968, categorizes them in 5 groups: 0, school districts which have schools that have been in operation; N, school districts which have schools that will be in operation for the first time during the year; C, school districts which will be under construction; R, school districts whose application for a joint vocational school district has been approved by the State Board of Education and they have requested building construction assistance; A, school districts whose jointure for an area vocational school district has been approved by the Ohio State Board of Education but as yet have not requested constuction assistance. 4. The State's Plan for the Provisions of Work-Study Programs 4. Plan of State Administration The State Board of Education is responsible for the overall administration Work-Study Programs conducted under the State Plan. The State Board of Education's responsibility for approving and supervising the administration of Vocational Education Work-Study Programs by local educational agencies is implemented through the Division of Vocational Education. The Director of the Division of Vocational Education through the Supervisor of Disadvantaged Youth and Work-Study Programs is specifically responsible for administering standards established by the State Board of Education for the approval of school districts for participation in the Work-Study Program. He is also responsible for planning a budget in keepin with the Federal and State Allocations for the Work-Study Program and the approval of individual students for participation in Work-Study Programs submitted from schools having prior approval from the State Board of Education. The Supervisor of Disadvantaged Youth and WorkStudy Programs is also responsible for providing supervision, coordination and leadership in terms of program development. b. Estimated Number of Local Educational Agencies and Number of Students Likely to Participate On the basis of the development of Vocational Education Work-Study Programs over the past two years it is estimated that one hundred local educational agencies will be participating in the program in 1967-68. Approximately three thousand six hundred students will be expected to participate in this program next year. 5.
