Annual Review of Development Effectiveness: Achieving Development Outcomes - The Millennium Challenge

Front Cover
World Bank Publications, 2003 - 83 pages
This review assesses, using available evaluation evidence, how the World Bank's country sector, and global programs are helping clients work toward the MDGs and related targets. The findings of this year's Annual Review indicate that the Bank's country, sector, and global programs are consistent with the MDG themes and have increasingly focused on poverty reduction. They also suggest several areas for increased emphasis, some of which are receiving greater Bank attention. Above all, the Bank needs to more fully assess the implications at the corporate, country, sector, and global levels of the MDGs and address these implications in its use of lending and administrative resources.
