In conclusion, let me express my sincere thankfulness for the friendly co-operation and many courtesies that were so generously extended me by the brethren during the past year.

In submitting this, my official report of this office, I am fully conscious of having done my best. For my own betterment I have felt more clearly the divine truths of Masonry; know more deeply the power of fraternal spirit, and am conscious that everywhere the brethren are striving to live up to the teachings of brotherly love, relief and truth.

May the moral application of our fellowship remain with us, cheer us on and crown us with the choicest of blessings.

SPECIAL MEETING, JULY 10, 1908.

Pursuant to a call, issued by the president, a special meeting of the Board of Control of the Michigan Masonic Home was held at the Home parlor on July 10th, 1908, at 2 o'clock p. m.

Members present: Andress, Mrs. Balmer, Clark, Mrs. Gardner, Grobhiser, Kingsley, McCloud, Mrs. Ocobock, Phillips, Pomeroy, Read, Rice, Rowson, Wood and Wente-fifteen, being all the members.

The special committee appointed to secure legislation enabling the Board to receive and administer bequests and endowments reported, orally, that its report at the annual meeting, that legislation sought had not been obtained, was made in error; that a law, to wit: Act No. 308 of the Public Acts of 1907, now enables

the Board to incorporate; that permission to incorporate had been granted by resolution of each of the five Grand Bodies, whose appointees compose this Board; that by request of the committee, Brother John J. Carton had prepared the Articles of Incorporation and would now present them.

On motion of Brother Rowson, the report was accepted and the committee discharged.

Brother Carton thereupon read the Articles, and, after discussion, they were, under his direction, signed and acknowledged by all the members.

The Articles are as follows:

ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION,

OF THE BOARD OF CONTROL OF MICHIGAN MASONIC HOME.

We, the undersigned, being the members of the Board of Control of Michigan Masonic Home, which said Michigan Masonic Home is a Home for the care of indigent, aged and infirm persons who are members of the fraternity of Free and Accepted Masons, and the wives, widows and children of members of said fraternity, and being desirous to incorporate under the provisions of Act No. 308 of the Public Acts of 1907, entitled, "An Act to provide for the incorporation of Boards of Control of hospitals, asylumns, homes for the care of indigent, aged or infirm persons or other charitable institutions," and the Acts amendatory thereof and supplementary thereto, do hereby make, execute, adopt and declare the following Articles of Incorporation, to wit:

ARTICLE I.

The name of this corporation and by which it shall be known in law, is Board of Control of Michigan Masonic Home. The place where its office for the transaction of business is located, is the building known as Michigan Masonic Home, which said building is located in the Township of Grand Rapids, County of Kent, State of Michigan. The home for the care of indigent,

aged and infirm persons of which the persons forming this corporation are the Board of Control, is the Michigan Masonic Home, and it is located in the Township of Grand Rapids, County of Kent, State of Michigan. The period for which said Board of Control is hereby incorporated is thirty years.
