When any portion of any section line in said county, that may become a road by virtue of this act, or the act to which this is amendatory, shall be impracticable, it shall be lawful for the county commissioners of said county to vacate such portion of said section line road upon the petition of not less than five resident householders of vacated <the road district in which said road, so sought to be created is situated.

AN ACT

To amend an act entitled "An act to quiet title to certain portions of the city of Beatrice.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Nebraska:

SECTION 1. That section twelve of an act entitled Beatrice to be An act to quiet title to certain portions of the city of Beatrice," be so amended as to read as follows: "That any person or persons claiming a conveyance under the

provisions of this act, shall make application therefor as heretofore provided, within two years from the first day of May, 1873, and after the expiration of said two years all lots which remain unconveyed within the meaning of this act, shall be sold by the corporate authorities of said city of Beatrice, at public auction, to the highest bidder, after one month's notice of said sale by publication in some newspaper printed in said city, and the proceeds of said sale shall be paid into the treasury of said city, and be applied and belong to the street improvement fund thereof, after paying the owner of any tax title, if any, the amount of the taxes he may have paid thereon with interest.

SEC. 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
