284. To implement the jurisdiction of service courts of friendly foreign

forces within the United States, and for other purposes - -

389. To authorize the attendance of the Marine Band at the National

390. To extend for an additional two years the suspension in part of the

processing tax on coconut oil, and to correct a typographical error

415. To amend section 514 of the Soldiers' and Sailors' Relief Act----

417. To provide for staying judicial proceedings against the United States

in time of war, on claims for damages caused by vessels of the

Navy, or for towage or salvage services to such vessels, when the,

Secretary of the Navy certifies that the prosecution of such pro-

ceedings would endanger the security of naval operations or inter-

fere therewith, and to authorize the settlement and payment of

such claims, and for other purposes....

418. To amend the Act of August 2, 1939, entitled “An Act to prevent

pernicious political activities", as amended by the Act of April 1,

1944, entitled "An Act to facilitate voting, in time of war, by

members of the land and naval forces, members of the merchant

marine, and others, absent from the place of their residence, and

to amend the Act of September 16, 1942, and for other purposes"-

419. To provide effective date of awards of death pension or compen-

sation in cases of persons missing or missing in action to author-

ize payment of such benefits from the date of death of such per-

son as reported or found by the Secretary of War or the Secretary

of the Navy, and for other purposes..

421. To amend further the Pay Readjustment Act of 1942.

423. To provide a method for compensating certain individuals for dam-

ages sustained as the result of the explosions at Port Chicago,

California.

425. To provide for the control and eradication of certain animal and plant

pests and diseases, to facilitate cooperation with the States in fire

control, to provide for the more efficient protection and manage-

ment of the national forests, to facilitate the carrying out of agri-

cultural conservation and related agricultural programs, to facilitate

the operation of the Farm Credit Administration and the Rural

Electrification Administration, to aid in the orderly marketing of

agricultural commodities, and for other purposes (excerpts) ..
