1960 TO 1982

[For years ending June 30 except, beginning 1977, ending September 30. Covers workers admitted after U.S. Dept. of Labor certification as to need for temporary agncultural workers. For data on temporary workers admitted under Immigration and Nationality Act, see table 137. Mexican agricultural laborers were employed under the provisions of Public Law 78 from 1949 until December 31, 1964. After that date, Mexican agricultural laborers, like workers from other countries, entered the Unrted States under the Immigration and Nationality Act, which provides for the importation of foreign workers if like workers are not available in the United States]
