-2 The FY 2003 budget request for worldwide security upgrade funds will be used for nine security-driven projects, including NOB's in Astana, Kazakhstan; Bamako, Mali; and remaining needs for Beijing, China; fitout of a newly acquired building in Bridgetown, Barbados; and the design or construction of new Annexes in Athens, Greece; Moscow, Russia; and Tirana, Albania. The Department is also considering an additional project in Frankfurt, Germany, if the compound site is acquired, and is looking at the business case for the use of the newly acquired Kingston, Jamaica facility. In addition, funds will be used for site acquisitions for projects planned in future years.
