HIGH RISE DORMITORY: EAST-WEST CENTER

Thirteen-story high-rise dormitory building with 12 floors, housing 480 students. Ground floor consists of lounges, game rooms, and two apartments for staff residents. Building designed to accommodate group of 10 students housed in single or double bed-study rooms with bath and living room facilities integral within 10-student units. Construction, reinforced concrete with poured-in-place and precast units; two 13-passenger elevators with 5 stops; plaster and masonry interior partitions; aluminum sliding windows; wood jalousies; acid-stain floor finish; ceramic tile and hard glazed resin in bathrooms; hardwood paneling; wood doors and windows; insulated composition built-up roofing; furred plaster ceiling; general finish paint; trash and laundry chutes.

ADMINISTRATION-FOOD SERVICE BUILDING EAST-WEST CENTER

General administrative offices, seminar and conference rooms, student center, and kitchen and cafeteria capable of serving 1,000 students. Structure is three stories of reinforced concrete, poured-in-place, precast, post-tensioned and pretensioned beams; acid-stained concerete floor slabs; concrete block, plaster and hardwood partitions; five-passenger-capacity elevator; ceramic tile floors and hard glazed resin in locker and toilet rooms; vinyl wall covering; acoustical plaster; commercial kitchen equipment; skylights; roof hatchways; insulated built-up roofing; unit air conditioning.
