Iola Williams, RN, PNP Coordinator, Sickle Cell Program Children's National Medical Center Mrs. Williams has been coordinator of the Sickle Cell Program at Children's National Medical Center, Washington, DC, since 1972. In this role, she has been responsible for the organization of the clinic which currently has a registration of almost 700 patients. In addition to serving as a patient advocate, she has been an active participant in research and is currently participating in the Cooperative Study of Sickle Cell Disease. She is a founder of the International Association of Sickle Cell Nurses and Physicians' Assistants. |
