AMENDMENT OF SENATE BILL 3228

On motion by Mr. JOHNSON of Texas, and by unanimous consent,

Ordered, That notwithstanding the action of the Senate in laying on the table a motion to reconsider the vote on the passage of the bill (S. 3228) to amend the provisions of part II of the Interstate Commerce Act which authorize certain operations within a State as a common carrier by motor vehicle engaged in interstate or foreign commerce if State authorized, an amendment thereto be in order and added to the bill.

Mr. SMATHERS thereupon proposed an amendment to insert a provision therein; and

The amendment was agreed to; and the previous action of the Senate with respect to the passage of the said bill was ordered to stand.
