THIS TITLE

Title 42-PUBLIC HEALTH is composed of three volumes. Volume one (Parts 160) contains current regulations issued under Chapter I-Public Health Service (HHS). The second volume (Parts 61-399) contains the remaining regulations issued under Chapter I and all current regulations issued under Chapter III—St. Elizabeths Hospital (HHS). Volume three (Part 400-end) includes all regulations issued under Chapter IV-Health Care Financing Administration (HHS). These volumes represent all current regulations codified under this title of the CFR as of October 1, 1981.

Redesignation tables for Chapter I-Public Health Service, Department of Health and Human Services and Chapter IV-Health Care Financing Administration, Department of Health and Human Services appear in the Finding Aids section of the second and third volumes.

The Federal Register, published daily, is the official publication for notifying the public of proposed and final regulations. It is the tool to use to participate in the rulemaking process by commenting on the proposed regulations. And it keeps people up to date on the Federal regulations currently in effect.

The Federal Register contains many reader's aids-Highlights, Grant Information, list of hearings and Sunshine meetings-which simplify the user's job.

The Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) contains the annual codification of the final regulations printed in the Federal Register. Each of the 50 titles is updated annually. Subscription Prices:
