Candidates must, on or before 22nd September and 23rd February, intimate to the Secretary of the Senatus their intention to appear for Examination; and must produce to the Examiners evidence that they have paid, to the Factor of the University, the Fee (or relative instalment thereof) of £5 5s. for Examination, and Admission Fee of 10s. 6d. (in the case of nonmatriculated candidates), and that they have taken the Degree of M.A.; also Certificates from Professors under whom they have studied, or other satisfactory evidence that they have fulfilled the conditions required by the regulations under which they are admitted to Examination.

Candidates for the Bruce and Fraser and the King William Scholarships must, in addition to taking the Ordinary Examinations for B.D. of the current year, undergo Supplementary Examination for Honours during the current year in one of the recognised combinations of subjects. In the event of any candidate for these scholarships undergoing the Honours Examination in more than two subjects, he will be reckoned (quoad the Scholarships Competition) as having chosen the subjects in which he obtains the largest number of marks.

LECTURESHIPS IN DIVINITY.

1. Murray.

There are three Lectureships on the foundation of the Rev. Alexander Murray, D.D. (K.C.), 1784, of Philadelphia, held by the Professors of Systematic Theology, Church History, and Biblical Criticism, by whom Lectures are delivered as part of the Divine Service in the Chapel of the University.

2. Murtle.

A Course of Weekly Lectures on Practical Religion and the Evidences of Religion is maintained in the University by the Trustees of John Gordon of Murtle. The Lectureship is held by the three Theological Professors in turn yearly. The Lectures are delivered in the Systematic Theology Classroom, University Buildings, Old Aberdeen, No fees are payable for attendance on the Class.

Under the original foundation provision was made for Lectures both at King's College and at Marischal College, but the latter had for long been in abeyance. In 1895 they were revived in a different form, a series of six Public Lectures, intended specially for Students of the University, having been delivered by distinguished Preachers, on Sunday afternoons, in the Mitchell Hall, Marischal College. Similar Courses have been delivered in each succeeding Winter Session.

Examination for Bursaries in Divinity.

The Competition for Divinity Bursaries will take place on Tuesday, 12th October, 1915, within the University Buildings in Old Aberdeen, at 10 A.M. Intending competitors must send in their names to the Secretary of the Divinity Faculty a fortnight before the Examination.

The following Divinity Bursaries are limited to Masters of Arts-Drum, Fraser, Ramsay.

The Subjects of examination will be the Gospel of St. Luke in Greek; "Flint's Theism" (Lectures III.-VIII.); Old Testament History, Genesis and 1 Kings; New Testament History, Gospel of St. John and Acts of the Apostles; and in Hebrew, Davidson's Grammar.

It is expected that there will be offered for Competition the Knox Bursary (£24), the Sutherland Bursary (£20), two Ramsay Bursaries (about £15 each), one Rolland Bursary (£15), one Lorimer Bursary (£15), and one Corbet Bursary (£12 10s.).

Of Presentation Bursaries it is expected that there will be vacant one Fraser Bursary (£30), and four Drum Bursaries (£29 10s. each).
